Do you take insurance?

No, Valor Physical Therapy does not take insurance. Because we pride ourselves in treating the patient as a whole and prioritizing the patient's goals, we don't want insurance reimbursements for PT to influence our ability to provide care. While we don't directly contract with insurance companies, we will be happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to insurance in order to request reimbursement.

Do you take Medicare patients?

Based on Medicare guidelines and laws, we are not able to take Medicare patients at this time. Medicare patients are not able to seek care and pay out of pocket for services that Medicare covers. If you would like more information about this, please contact us!

Do I need a doctor's prescription for physical therapy?

No, you don't need a prescription for physical therapy due to the Direct Access Laws in California. However, if you have one, please upload it to your patient portal once you register for an account. Based on the Direct Access Laws, a physician's referral is needed after 45 days or 12 sessions of physical therapy if more therapy is needed. If you don't have a doctor, no problem - we work closely with several doctors that can help with this.

Are 30 minute sessions or 1 hour sessions better?

It depends - we're providing the options of both 30 minute and 1 hour sessions for a variety of reasons. Financially, the 30 minute sessions would allow patients who need physical therapy to receive care while paying less out of pocket. However, 1 hour sessions can really allow us to address the tissues, muscles, and joints effectively during the session. With 30 minute sessions, we stress that performing your PT exercises at home will be a big component to your rehab success because of the reduction of time in person with the physical therapist. Ultimately, it is your decision, and we can discuss what may be best for you based on your situation and diagnosis/injury during your PT evaluation.

How can I pay for services?

We accept credit cards, check, and cash. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted here.
