VALD: Performance Assessments

What is VALD testing?
VALD is a suite of performance testing technology used by pro sports teams, colleges, and national training programs. It measures things like force, power, balance, and movement asymmetries with a level of precision you can't get from a stopwatch or a coach's eye. At Valor, we use it to build a clear, data backed picture of how an athlete moves and where they stand physically.

Why do we use it?
Two athletes can look identical on the field and have very different injury risk profiles underneath. VALD lets us catch left/right strength imbalances, track how well an athlete is recovering after injury, and measure real progress over time instead of guessing. It also gives us a baseline, so if an injury happens down the road, we already know what "normal" looks like for that athlete and can get them back to it faster.

What does a VALD assessment involve?
A combination of jump, strength, and movement tests depending on the athlete's sport and goals. Most assessments take under an hour and don't require any special prep.

Who is VALD testing for?
Any athlete who wants to train from an objective baseline with progressive goals in mind. It's useful for in-season athletes managing load, athletes returning from injury, and anyone prepping for tryouts, combines, or a new season.
