Who We Are
Valor Physical Therapy is a cash-based, one-on-one physical therapy clinic located in Carlsbad, CA, serving active adults, athletes, and youth throughout North County San Diego. Every session is led directly by a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. We don't have aides, rotating staff, or rushed visits. We operate outside of insurance networks so we're not bound by the time limits and treatment caps that come with it. That means longer, more focused sessions and a plan built around your specific goals, not a generic protocol.
How We Started
Our clinic was born out of a passion for a holistic and patient-centered approach to health and wellness. Due to the lack of sensitivity and empathy that has plagued the healthcare field, Valor Physical Therapy was created to provide an environment that can empower patients and give them the care and attention that they deserve from a healthcare professional.
Why We Care
We firmly believe that every person's well-being matters, and we are committed to providing exceptional care so that our patients can live their best lives. We hope to educate and empower people to advocate for their health. We strive to create a strong relationship with each patient in order to develop the best plan of care for each individual. Whether your goal is to walk daily, play pickleball 3x/week, or participate in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 2 hours/day, we will customize a treatment plan that will help you reach your goals.
We will NEVER tell you to quit the sport you love or to give up.
While some goals may seem more difficult to achieve than others, we will always prioritize your movement goals and create a realistic plan to get you back to doing what you love to do.
What Makes Us Different
- One-on-one care, every visit. You work directly with a Doctor of Physical Therapy for the full session and never handed off to an aide or trainee.
- No referral needed. You can book an evaluation directly, without waiting on a doctor's referral.
- Truly individualized plans. Treatment is built around your body, your goals, and your sport or activity not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
- We treat pain AND performance. Beyond rehab, we offer VALD performance testing, personal training, and sport-specific programs (like our Baseball Mobility and Resilience in BJJ programs) to help you return even stronger, not just pain-free.
- Accessible care. We offer military discounts, payment plans, and sliding-scale fees, and provide superbills so you can pursue HSA/FSA or insurance reimbursement.

We are now treating patients in the North County San Diego region - Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Encinitas.

Dr. Valentine Ngo, PT, DPT — Lead Physical Therapist with expertise in sports injuries, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes, vestibular rehabilitation, and concussion treatment. Dr. Ngo is a Certified Functional Range Conditioning specialist and a Vestibular Rehabilitation specialist through the American Institute of Balance. Dr. Brian Fonseca, PT, DPT — Licensed Physical Therapist specializing in athletes, weekend warriors, and sports rehabilitation.
